Dear Classmates:

There is not a lot of activity on our web site so I thought this may stimulate some activity. The first thing I want to say, the reunion was great and I enjoyed seeing everyone. Too bad we cannot see each other more.

What has Walt been doing? Well, I retired from PG&E after 32 years. It was a good partnership and I enjoyed the many jobs with them. My wife Bobbi and I have one daughter in the Bay Area and one in Avila Beach both married. The Avila Beach daughter has given us a grandson, now 16 months old.

Since retirement, I lived in Moraga, Incline Village and now in Avila Beach California.

For the past 3 years, I have volunteered as the Construction Manager to restore the Point San Luis Light House in Avila Beach very near the Diablo Canyon Nuclear power plant. The light house was built in 1890 was abandon for many years and now belongs to the Port of San Luis. Lots of fishing and lot of RV parking spots.

I am very fortunate to work with a great group of people who are helping with the restoration effort as well as leading hikes to the light house twice a week.

If you want to see and hear more about the light house please Google “Point San Luis Lighthouse”.

If you’re ever in the area, I would be glad to give you a tour of the lighthouse. You can hike or if the timing is right, a van tour gets you in. Just email me.

I hope this message finds everyone in good health with good memories of our past.
