Keeping Active

Postby John Sims on Mon Jun 08, 2009 6:33 pm

Since retiring in 1995, I have been very active restoring and driving my 1958 Austin Healey. When we lived in Las Vegas in the late nineties, it was the car that I drove daily. For the past couple of years, it has been in pieces undergoing another restoration. Now that I am finished, the garage is back in order and I am driving it again. You can see details of it at www.healey6.com. This site has become a resource to other Healey owners as have my columns that I write for several Austin Healey club magazines that are distributed world wide.

An outline of my family and career are at www.johnsimsfamily.com.

I also keep busy coaching my 8 year old Grandson's baseball team -- practices are held almost daily and there are three games a week. All of this keeps me out of trouble but really adds to aches and pains. I am becoming a very good customer of Ben-Gay.

And, in my spare time, I am a district leader for a local political party. Never had the tme to do any of this while working and I am busier than ever.
